CROWN AGENTS FOR THE COLONIES,

Sir,

In continuation of our letter of the 28th April last, I have the honour to inform you that the following four men have been selected by Mr May and engaged by us for service in the Police Force of Hong Kong:

(1) John Grant

(2) R.MacDonald

(3) J.Cormack

(4) P. Langley.

These men have signed the usual agreement, a copy of which was enclosed in our letter of the 3rd January last, and they have been provided with passages to Hong Kong by the S.S."Agamemnon" leaving Liverpool on the 14th instant.

This now completes the number of constables required for service in Hong Kong.
